INVDE
Summer 2025
Concept
Create a visual identity for a fictional restaurant. Develop a wordmark that connects with a certain audience, along with touchpoints that express the restaurant's personality.Approach
INVDE's three core values were defined, and a visual library of the restaurant was created.Exploration: Space is vast, and we are constantly exploring more. INVDE encourages guests to step outside their comfort zone and try new things.
Awareness: With so much flora and fauna sharing this great land, it is uncommon for someone to know what is native and what is not. INVDE aims to speak up about the impact of invasive species.
Sketches
Investigated different sketches that represented the restaurant's core values. The sketches were inspired by invasive animal patterns, space exploration companies, and references to unidentified flying objects.Final Sketch
Although the wordmarks without notches felt more cohesive during the sketch phase, the idea that the notches felt wrong and out of place resonated with the uncanny core value.Menu
Researched and wrote dish descriptions with a touch of Alien curiosity. Experimented with different physical menu layouts to create a unique menu with a peekaboo function.Menu Layout

Touchpoints
Developed 3 touchpoints to show how INVDE’s branding would carry out on other media.
Found Footage
YouTube video promo would attract young adult audiences. Made for people who love aliens, conspiracy, and exotic food. Showcases the restaurant's idea of being abducted.
Survival Certificate
When guests are done dining, they take home a small token of thanks and congratulations from the restaurant to end the experience with some more light-hearted fun.
